What's on my fall shopping list
And what I bought already.
Now that it’s officially fall—and the Bay Area is in its first false fall of the season—I have started to shift slowly into the sweaters-and-boots mindset. And because you’re probably tired of me telling you to wait before you make a bunch of impulse buys, I’m happy to report that I’ve been shopping with reckless abandon and think it’s time for you to do so too. Before we get into what’s on my fall shopping list, a quick reminder of some Friends & Family sales wrapping up soon:
Shopbop’s Style Event with up to 25% off starts today
Everything is 25% off at Frame through today
The Madewell 30% off Insider Event ends tonight
Bloomingdale’s, Saks, and Neiman Marcus Friends & Family end tonight too
Freda Salvador’s Friends & Family sale is now open to the public
Everything is now 25% off at COS with code FF25.
Everything is 30% off at Mango’s Friends & Family sale
And you can take up to 20% off at Bluemercury’s anniversary sale
I will most likely source a secondhand oversized navy blazer because that should be easy enough to find, but with a north star in mind, I’m looking for something like this J.Crew Gamine blazer in Italian wool.
I don’t necessarily need a double-breasted black wool coat—it doesn’t really get cold enough here to warrant it—but that doesn’t mean I don’t want one. Again, I am hoping to score something like this COS black wool coat secondhand, but their current sale is quite tempting.
Since Madewell’s Insiders Event ends tonight and I haven’t made my purchase yet, I am checking out and getting this polo sweater as soon as I finish writing this post!
I love leopard print—it’s a classic!—but sometimes it can be a bit much, so I like that this Ba&sh skirt is leopard inspired but more of an unidentifiable animal print. It’s supposedly navy, which is kind of weird but also maybe cool and different?
Please don’t buy this Toteme blouse, because there’s only one left and it’s in my size and also on sale. Kthanxbye.
I am hoping my laptop fits in this Isabel Marant leopard-print hobo because wouldn’t it be the coolest work bag ever? I am also hoping it kind of doesn’t because, oof, the price.
This week on the blog
Is this blog becoming an Old Navy fan account? Maybe. But these harem pants are currently $25 and I love them. Details (and more harem pant options) in this week’s post.
Beyond the Paywall
I made three key fall purchases this month, and I’m really excited about all of them. They’ll be appearing sooner rather than later on the blog, but paid subscribers get a sneak peek!
